danspasta X Pepe Saya - Burnt Butter & Sage Fettuccine
We met danspasta when we were doing a local product stall at Cornersmith in Annandale late last year. Mrs Pepe was an immediate convert to his amazing fresh pastas and Dan then started using Pepe Saya Butter in his recipes.
All of Dan's pastas and sauces are fresh and made daily using some of Australia’s finest local ingredients. The pastas are hand rolled and cut, ensuring quality, sustainability and precision.
We teamed up with Dan to create a dish that made both products really shine. Slowly heating the butter and sage sauce brings out the true flavour of our cultured butter, with the cultures coming alive. Toss it through your fettucine and you have the perfect meal.
Dan makes this product to order so orders are shipped fortnightly on a Tuesday or Wednesday, order cut off is the Sunday prior 11.59pm. We ship your order all together.
Pack serves two and has:
300gm x fresh fettucine, keep refrigerated
105gm x Burnt butter and sage sauce log, keep refrigerated
Best eaten within the first week so the herbs have their full punch.
1. Remove pasta from packaging and drop into salted, boiling water for 2-3 minutes until al dente.
2. Warm butter sauce in a pan on low heat until it breaks down (optional: add in vegetables, meat or herbs as you prefer).
3. Using tongs gently add your pasta into the pan, stir and toss until every strand is coated in the butter sauce and serve.
